Who We Are

The Interfaith Network Against Corruption (INAC) was founded on October 18, 2016 as a major outcome of the workshop organized by Mambayya House, the Aminu Kano Centre for Democratic Research and Training, Bayero University, Kano with support from the Embassy of the United States of America, Abuja on the theme: “The Role of Religious Leaders in Combating Corruption in Nigeria”. The idea behind the formation of the INAC is to have a forum through which Muslim and Christian religious leaders in the 19 states of Northern Nigeria will be committed to fighting corruption in the region and beyond. Thus, the purpose of the INAC is to utilize its unique position, as gatekeepers to the national conscience and integrity, informed by its beliefs and networks as religious leaders to combat corruption in all of its forms in the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The INAC has resolved to confront the culture of corruption to help realize its vision of Nigeria as one of the most visibly transparent nations in the world.
